Alvin Henry Meyer, Wagoner. Son of Mr. And Mrs. Henry H. Meyer, Welcome, Minnesota. Born at Monee, Illinois, March 9, 1898. Resident of Welcome, Minnesota, when called to federal service from National Guard at Fairmont, Minnesota, July 15, 1917, as a private in the infantry. Assigned to Company e, 136th Infantry, 34th Division at Camp Cody, New Mexico. Transferred in France to Headquarters, 205th Ammunition Train, 80th Division. Embarked from Hoboken, New Jersey, June 27, 1918, arriving at LeHavre, France, July 14, 1918. Engaged at St. Miciel and Meuse-Argenne. Retuned to United States June 1, 1919, discharged at Camp Dodge, Iowa, June 13, 1919.
